Alexandra Jiricka (Dipl-Ing., Dr.), is a Senior Scientist at University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna, Austria (BOKU). She finalized her PhD in July 2008 (Enviromental Planning and Impact Assessment). Since June 2006 she has gained experience in research and consulting in the field of sustainable tourism planning and management with special focus on climate change adaptation as well as environmental management in skiing areas; she is teaching post-graduate students about rural tourism and environmental impact assessment. Alexandra Jiricka has been organizer or part of the organization committee of several workshops and conferences on the topic of sustainable tourism development in alpine skiing areas.
